Hi Friends,
It's been a fabulous week for me....... looking at the great response my last mail had generated !!
Today, being Mr Mahatma Gandhi's Happy Birthday, I take great pleasure in sharing the stuff sent by all you people. Each and every line of the replies sent by you........brings back memories from the past .......... Memories which will always be cherished !!
So let me take you thru the great pieces of creative stuff sent by you, preferably in Alphabetical order:
1. Anand Dhuldhoya (Mech -1999)
It has been four weeks now since he graduated from the Univ. of Florida and started work with
an investment bank in St. Petersburg, Fl (around 150 miles from Gainesville -- UF's campus town). Anand was very impressed with the Bambaiya slang..........."Allah meharban to india phelwan"...!!
Anand how about, Intukle, Pintukle, Chal Batti Bhujake, Patli Galli Se Nikal Le !!
Anand, I am still based in Andheri....... and haven't moved to the Central Side of Mumbai !! So, do keep in touch !!
2. Abhijit Bhandarkar (Mech -1999)
Abhijit is working in L&T, Powai and says.............
Thanx for the compliments Abhi, and since the Batteries of Ur Digital Diary have drained off, my new changed residential no. is 682 3371.
3. Ganesh Subbaraman (Mech-2000)
I always call him Ganpa cos he used to name all his Comp. Programming files as Ganpa 1, Ganpa 2........ !! Ganpa say's .........Ganpa, great to hear from You and hope to see U soon in December !!
4. Gauri Adelkar (Electronics - 2002)
Gauri says ........<< ......it was good to read your mail..its nice to hear desi stuff here, especially when u've absolutely cut connections with indian news (thats bad on my part). Gauri, just hang on out there as all of the others cos we all have been sent to achieve a goal............... that's waiting for us somewhere just round the corner.......... !! And as for the desi stuff......... don't worry, I will keep all of U updated on that, whenever possible !!
5. Karani Chetan (Elecronics - 1999)
Chetan Karani says............ Man Aisa ek detailed mail roj likha kar...atleast india mein kya ho raha hai pata to chale...By the way if you did not know this..I have also joined the distressed in the US. I am doing my masters in EE at the George Washington University, Washington Dc...xxxxxx !!
Chintu baba, that's a great surprise.........achnak MS karne ka khayal aapko aaya !! abe main bhi soch hi raha tha ki achanak Ghatkopar mein itni shaanti kaise ?? And to add to it, Dukes has started manufacturing "the Masala Soda"........... remember the stuff we used to have near the Odean Theatre !!
6. Lakshmi S (Electronics - 1999)
Lakshmi says...........Hi Lakshmi, good to know that nowadays U are working at Office........ that's excellent for a change !! Try and call up if possible........... the Telephone Nos. are given at Item No. 2 (above) and a copy of the same is left with Ur Dad....... at Ur residence !!

Mehul says........ <<........I m fine here...job is as it is just going on....bahut dino ke baad puranee yaade tassa ho gayee....>> Mehul .....great going at Infosys !! Manish told me about your Marriage plans .......... hopefully it will be in Mumbai and not in Bangalore/ Chennai !! Do remember to send us an Invitation !!

She is yet to come out of a joke I played on her !! Mandira, great to hear from U anyway and better get out of SPJIMR soon.......... cos U are going to complete Ur 2 years very soon !!

Manish says........ <<...........i am enjoying stay out here in NY (GE-Power Systems)..... week madhye 3 vela crichet khelato... week end la phirayala jato... and week days madhye office madhye time pass karato....................... now ekade fall chalu zala ahe... so ata thandi padayala suravat zali.... tula sangato chayala sakali uthayache loche hotat... mast thandi asate... blanket gheun zopalelo asato... and chayala uthayala lagat.... varati daba takayala pressure pan nasat.... are hal ahet re.... hahahah>>

Manish also adds........ata apala laghnacha vay zala kiti divas asa ekat ekat phiranar.... jara mulagi bagh ki..... and mulila pitchure la gheun jatana.... tichya mitra maitrinina pan bolav.... kay tu pan yar and ho mulagi vagare patavalis tar kalav.... nahitar direct porachya barashyacha amantran deshil....
10. Manish Narayane (Mech - 1999)
My Back bench exam partner during all my Engg exams......... we both used to be equally clueless about the Univ. papers.......specially about the answers !! He says..........<<..........i am fine here in Fiat India , working as a logistics ( Supply chain management ) Executive . Manya, great to know that U are still at Fiat cos the last time I wrote to U, the mail simply bounced back !! I met Vivek Mate somedays back and also spoke to Sumeet, at The Leela !! Keep writing ........
11. Priya Gandhi (Electronics - 1999)
Priya is going great guns at FCB Ulka and is all set for a great product launch this October.........and Priya says........<> Something special coming up before the Product Launch .......... October 7th 2002 !!
12. Runa Saraswat (Electronics - 2000)
Runa says..........<<..........well on the personal front things r screwed up just waiting 4 my life 2 fall in places .. work wise everything s okie ..just 2 refresh u .. i m in wipro (telecom) working on a contractor basis with Nortel in Canada............I hop e2 get some good wedding bell news 4m ur side till then ..>>
Runa is all set to leave Canada on Oct 4th .......... and looking forward to see her in Mumbai very soon !!
13. Sanjeev Nichani (Mech - 1999)
Sanjeev says......... Dear Sanjeev, are bhai har kutte ka din aata hai.............. philal na tera na mera !! So let's just enjoy the bliss of Bachelorhood cos Shaadi woh Laddoo hai.......... JO khaye woh pachtaye.....!!
Sanjeev also says........i read s'where tat ONLY 2.5% of this country is veg....!!!!
kya solid minority mein hoon mein, agar aisa India mein hota to shayad mujhe college admission mein "minority quota" mil jaata!!!!
Don't worry Sanjeev, India mein the situation has changed............ I hear this year they had an excess seats of approx. 4000 for the Engineering Admissions !!
14. Nikhil Kelshikar (Electronics - 1999)
Nikhil was the Magazine Secretary during our time and I haven't seen a single Magazine after that !! Remember, Somaiya used to have a Magazine called "Kshitij".............. so howz our Computer genius doing out there !!??
Nikhil, sorry to have missed you out in the alphabetical order......... but U know how things are in English......... sab kuch chalta hai !!
Nikhil says........I work at Univ of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia these days. Probably will be getting in the ph.d program soon. Apart from that life is great. Having a good time :)

15. Parshuram/ Ram/ Zantye ......(Mech - 98)
The Big Man himself............ called by a lot of names and always remembered for many reasons.............a pure Mechanical guy, somebody who taught us everything we know abt...............
He says........<<............Whats the plan..man.. beautiful and all.. thinking of being a Gay or something.. well you have the wrong person here..!!:) ........... hahaha just kidding.. thought I should pakao a little.. if you can..........so can I!

It was great to read from all your mails. I have managed to get some small clippings from all the mails sent by you in response to my mailer............ It's been a very pleasant and refreshing journey going thru each and every line..................... definitely worth Treasuring !!
